Exhibitor service kit
The only approved housing vendor for CTS. No other company is authorized to book rooms in the GCSAA block. If anyone else contacts you about rooms, email gcsaa@connectionshousing.com before you give them any information.
Book in the GCSAA block

How These Scams Work
Exhibitors at large trade shows are targeted every year by companies that imply an affiliation with the event. Most of it arrives by email, phone or fax within weeks of a signed booth contract. Some past CTS attendees have lost money on rooms that did not exist. Know the pattern before you pay.
- Claims an affiliation with GCSAA, GCBAA, ASGCA or USGA that you cannot verify
- Says the room block is nearly sold out and pressures you to book right now
- Offers an attendee or exhibitor list for sale
- Sends forms or promotional material designed to look like official show paperwork
- Quotes a room rate below the official block with no confirmation from Connections Housing
- Asks for a wire transfer, or payment to an account you have not used before
Room poaching and unauthorized housing
Room poaching is carried out by third-party companies with no connection to the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show. They present themselves as travel agencies, wholesalers or destination management companies and solicit attendees and exhibitors for room reservations.
The pitch is usually urgency. A poacher tells an exhibitor the block is virtually sold out and that booking has to happen immediately or there will be no room left for the association convention. The affiliation is implied, never documented, and the organization is not sanctioned by any of the sponsoring associations.
Connections Housing is the only approved housing vendor for CTS. If any other company contacts you, email gcsaa@connectionshousing.com before you provide payment or personal information.
Directory listing scams
Be wary of any directory listing that is not affiliated with the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show. Several operate year after year under names that sound like official show directories.

GCSAA has no relationship with any of these. Read anything you are asked to sign in full, including the reverse side and the fine print.
Attendee list sales
GCSAA does not sell attendee information, and does not make it available to third parties that have no connection with the event.
Any person or company soliciting you to buy such a list did not get it from GCSAA, which means they may not have what they claim to be selling. Treat every one of these offers as unaffiliated.
Misrepresentation as official contractors
Third-party companies in transportation, audio/visual, display rental, and installation and dismantling have repeatedly misrepresented themselves as official show contractors. They trade on the strength of the show's brand while charging more than the service is worth.
The pattern is familiar. Promised services do not arrive, quality and customer service are poor, and the company is not on site to fix any of it, which puts the cost and the headache back on the exhibitor.
Every official CTS contractor is on site for the duration of the show to provide services and handle problems in person.
