Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program and You

The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf is an award-winning education and certification program that helps golf courses protect our environment and preserve the natural heritage of the game of golf. In this session, Dave Finney, CGCS, Retired, chronicles the quest to have the University of Pittsburgh’s regional campus in Johnstown, Penn., become a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. He will begin with review of the program and lead up to Pitt-Johnstown’s initial certification in June 2019. The second part will cover work done to achieve re-certification during the COVID pandemic – with recertification achieved in July 2022.
