Marco Schiavon, Ph.D.

Marco Schiavon, Ph.D., is an assistant professor, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences - Environmental Horticulture Department, University of Florida. He earned his bachelors and masters from the University of Padua, Italy, and his Ph.D. in agronomy from New Mexico State University. Schiavon worked as a postdoctoral scholar at UC Riverside prior to moving to the University of Florida. His primary research interests include potable water conservation for irrigating turfgrass areas, salinity management, and physiology of turfgrass in response to drought stress. He has published more than 30 refereed journal articles and has taught seminars and webinars for GCSAA.
