Andrew J Staples
Andy Staples is Principal of Staples Golf Design (SGD), has over 24 years of golf design and construction experience, and is a member of the ASGCA, the GCSAA, as well as the ASLA. He Founded SGD in 2002, which is a national leader in sustainable golf course design services that help golf courses increase their efficiency, become more profitable, and instill local pride in the game of golf. His most recently completed projects, Rockwind Community Links in Hobbs, NM, and Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville, MI, have each won Golf Inc.’s Renovation of the Year award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, and his work at Sand Hollow Resort in Hurricane, UT, consistently ranks as one of the Best Places to Play in Utah by Golfweek. Andy holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, has an extended degree from Denmark’s International Studies Program in Copenhagen, has completed Executive Education from the Haas School of Business at the University of Calif., Berkeley., and has guest lectured at Harvard University’s School of Design.
