Travis Shaddox, Ph.D.
Travis Shaddox, Ph.D., Consultant, Bluegrass Art and Science, LLC., has managed turfgrass in the lawncare, sport turf, and golf industries, worked in fertilizer sales, and is a former assistant professor at Universities of Kentucky and Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State University and both his masters and Ph.D. in soil fertility & turfgrass nutrition at the University of Florida. Shaddox’s research focused on soil fertility and turfgrass nutrition with consideration given to reducing costs and environmental risk from the application of granular and foliar nutrients. He is currently providing the analysis and publication of the GCSAA Golf Course Environmental Profile and has taught webinars for GCSAA.
